marina barage & marina barage & crab catching
Posted in Uncategorized on 09/14/2009 05:44 pm by admin
Thr’s so many bdaes boys and gals in sept so we celebrate together! On 12th sept Sat, we went marina barage picnic and fly kite. On the same Sat, Ben & Jerry had their ice cream carnival…instead of free ice cream, we got free picnic mat and free music & entertainment!
Reached marina barage in the evening around 5pm, we prepared egg mayo & tuna sandwiches (my 1st attempt and its nice), potato chips, sweets, card games and not forgetting kite! We only bought 2 kids kites, plus charis’s rainbow kite and its not enough! Luckily we managed to buy a big goldfish kite from the shop.
While enjoying the carnival live band, we played card games, eat, fly kites, take photos, chat and relax. The kites entertain us very much too…the goldfish even fall into the water to swim! hahaa! Before the sky became dark, we had our bdae cake cutting, given all the bdaes ‘babies’ their king and queen crown to wear.

At nite, we went to changi airport T3 to have dinner ard 8plus. Due we have too many people, we had our meal at foodcourt & popeye. Although a simple dinner but we all enjoyed our evening very much. Look forward to the next picnic.
++Our happy pics ++

cool~ must def record down my happening lucky week of year 2009!
25th july–got dinner treats @ thai sharkfins restaurant leisure park. The sharkfins are really good quality but somehow the taste is not as superb as the taste i remembered. Luckily the crab tang hoon still taste good!

27th - 29th july–Genting Casino Trip with bf, J & P…again you may so! haha.. But this time we travel by WTS coach instead of hazel =) Early morning 6am we board the coach and start our journey…reached genting ard 1pm but waited until 4pm then check-in to our room. After nap..of course start our ‘du shen’ & ‘du hou’ expertise at genting casino. Our whole trip is sleep, eat, casino, eat, sleep and shop a bit..bought a pair of shoe at vincci. 2 days at casino i lost 300 ringgit as entertainment fee but justin won 1100 ringgit, Hooray! Although I lost but very happening!!! FIRST time upgrade to silver card and into Internationl Rm. Thought tat IR is smoke free but turn out smoky & smelly. FIRST time saw an auntie won the 200k carribean stud poker jackpot, she got a royal flush! The casino staff & manager took a long time to verify the cards before they escort the auntie away to collect the winnings. FIRST time saw two uncles fighting & quarrelling and it just happened next to us! One of the uncle even throw chips and bang on the table..scary sia. In the end both escorted away to office. When taking the coach back to Singapore, finally got to the goodies shop at downhill and bought 3 bags full of ‘ma ti su’ & tidbits which my family & relatives missed! Bye Genting…….we shall come again soon!
Click to see our genting pics:

31st july — finally started on property. Partner & I had arranged all viewing today. The advertisement response was very good and we have both direct buyers & agents coming to view. We made a trip to loyang temple to pray for good luck and indeed…we got GOOD LUCK! Our viewing starts at 3pm and ard 5pm, we met a sincere buyer and with our senior help, we closed case! Yeah!! This is really a stepping stone for us as we can learn thru the whole process, especially the forms filling…so many! Even our manager came to congrats us! Hope our property can continue to be smooth sailing…Work Hard Elsie!
2nd Aug—hahaa…its my first time to strike lottery! Even though its only $250 but its the luck tat i strike! Woot~ Lucky lucky me! Took a pic of my lucky lottery ticket….(p/s: the other numbers not mine! hehee)

I just had a full n sinful dinner/supper…goodnite everyone!

My new home is competing SOON! but I dun know how soon….awaiting good news from HDB =) The estate name is not so nice though so I’ve renamed it myself…GSC (Geylang Serai Castle) haha! I dun owned the whole castle…only a small unit.
They have been building the castle for almost 2.5 years and finally they’re building my very unit! Im just staying opp currently so able to see the progress daily, lucky me! Of course I make use of this chance to take pics of the progress…have consolidate them on my flickr. Would like to thank all the architect, project engineers, supervisors, ah nehs for all the hardwork committed!
Feel free to see & comment:
If you’re reading this and you actually own a unit of this castle….do pm me!! Im so excited to know all my future neighbours!
The geylang serai market has reopened last monday 13th july and operating well. Almost all the stalls selling malay food so I can predict next time my breakfast will be Mee Siam & Mee Rebus 0.0 I didnt see the famous indian rojak stall though, not sure is it the license still suspended. Frankly speaking I have craving for their red peanut sauce…yummy! I do have fear on the food poisoning issue but I believe if it reopened with a license again, I will dare to support them.
So far, the flats & market all looks good…except that the carpark seems rather small to accomodate the busy market patrons and residents in future.
Shall update more on my new castle……stay tuned!
